by Lacey Savage I don't know about you, but the last few weeks seemed to gang up on me and try to bring me to my knees. Work's been stressful, hubby's been sick, I didn't get to go to a writing convention because of budget issues, our car broke down and needed expensive repairs, and for the first time ever, I suffered from writer's block. I'm willing to bet that even though you might not have had the same issues to deal with, you could benefit from a few quick relaxation techniques. How about some sexy ones, while we're at it? Concentrate - Lie back, and think of... England? No. Sex. Concentrate on the word. Let it roll off your tongue, flutter through your brain, envelop your body. Let your mind wander wherever the word takes it, but keep it at the forefront of all other thoughts. |
Relaxation Tapes - This can be used in conjunction with the concentration technique, but don't go for the typical nature sounds. Take a quick trip to your favorite adult store, brick-and-mortar or online, and search for their "mood" tapes. You'll be amazed at the selection. There are audio tapes for every occasion, from soft moaning sounds of pleasure to whips and the rattling of chains. And yes, these really work!
Massage - Best done with a partner rather than a professional masseuse, especially if you've both had stressful days at work. There are different types of massages you can try, but whichever you decide on, I suggest using flavored massage oil. Whether you get the warming kind is up to you. Massage is great at ridding your body of pent-up tension, and your partner's hands on your body can make you feel loved, protected and cared for. All great ways to get you in the mood for the next stress-busting technique.
Orgasm - There are very few things you can do that'll give you the stress relief that a fabulous orgasm provides. Heck, even a so-so orgasm still beats meditation any day of the week. And the best part? You don't need a partner for this one. If your significant other is the cause of your stress, let him unwind in his own way, and take matters into your own hands. You're better at it than anyone. If not, then you'll both benefit from the mutual release. The post-orgasmic phase helps you relax by relieving all your tension knots from your head and shoulders, and providing a tranquil phase to lull you into an even more restful sleep.
