I was perusing the Changeling Press site the other day trying to decide what I should pick up next and Mary Winter's Illegal Holdings caught my eye. And yes, partly because the cover features a yummy morsel in uniform <g> but I was also intrigued by the blurb. Imagining a world where sex toys could be considered contraband was almost enough to make me shudder so I knew I had to read more 
I quite enjoyed this story! I love that Mary Winter was able to whisk me away to a futuristic, sci-fi setting and provide me with some fantastic entertainment once I arrived. I enjoyed her characters, and their oh so sexy interactions. I was also intrigued with some of the toys appearing within the story. Ms. Winter's imagination comes shining through with the creation of her worlds (and the toys) and I loved it.
Ms. Winter's Illegal Holdings was the perfect story to help alleviate the humdrums of the everyday for me; to help me escape from reality, if only for a short time.
