Big, Blooming & Wild: Tied by Tuesday Morrigan

From the Changeling Press site:

Yahara does not do nature. She does not hike. She does not do trees. She does not do anything remotely green or natural. As far as she is concerned, Central Park is all the green the world needs. She likes her concrete-filled city just the way it is. But as the leading ad "man" at her firm, she's given the incredible job of creating the new magazine spread for a clothing line that's totally green.

At the movies...

Kung Fu Panda
Isabella Jordan

Directed by Mark Osborne and John Stevenson. Starring Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, and more.

Say what you will of me as a movie critic. But I'm a fan of Jack Black and I'm proud. If my kids had decided they absolutely would not go to see this film, I would have dragged them along anyway or shipped them off to their grandmmother for a couple of hours so I could enjoy it in uninterrupted peace. Lucky for me, the folks at Dream Works did a great marketing job and they were as excited about seeing this film as I was.

And what's the verdict after all of this anticipation?

I absolutely loved it.

Facts of Life

by DaHeap
A Drop of Blood

Fact: A single drop of blood contains about 250 million red cells and over 300,000 white cells. Red cells wear out quickly, and every day the body makes about 2.5 billion new ones to replace them. Every year, the average person sheds 4kg (9lb) of dead skin flakes, up to 30,000 hairs, and about 5cm (2 in.) of fingernail clippings. Unlike other cells in your body, the cells in your brain cannot be replaced when they get worn out. As a result, the number of cells in your brain steadily decreases as you get older.
