“You know better than to lie to me.”
She felt her face go hot. “I’m not lying. I am curious.” And she was. Desperately curious to find out what it would feel like to have him cuff her to a St. Andrews cross and flog her with that energy lash of his.
It didn’t surprise her in the least that the club had certified his skill, though he must use a physical whip to play. Otherwise he’d out himself, and the H.E.B. brass would definitely not approve.
“What a coincidence,” Luke purred. “I’m curious too. I’m curious about what you’d do if I put you in a pair of blocker cuffs and beat your little ass for lying to me.”
Nikki drew in a breath.
“That’s right,” he said, leaning down until he was almost nose to nose with her. “In those cuffs, you’d be helpless. Just imagine everything I could do -- all the ways I could make you beg…”
Nikki’s inner muscles tightened in a hungry clench.
He lowered his head to her ear and drew in her scent like a wolf. “I could use my powers to torment you in ways no human man could. Watch you writhe under my lash. Inflict pain and pleasure on those lovely nipples.”

Nikki froze at the velvet contact she’d been dreaming of for months. Just a tender brush of a kiss at first, back and forth, delicate as a whisper. She melted against him as Luke slid one arm around her waist and drew her against him.
